From Norway to Kola Peninsula, Russia

Good morning, the weather was nice. Time to pack down the camp, and travel on. I got in my car, started it. But no matter what I did, I could not get it in gear. I didn’t want to force it. We had a small group meeting. What could it be? We stopped the car and then it worked without any problems. We thought maybe it could be water in the clutch making it jam up? Since we parked our cars, right after the river crossings. Well we ended up stopping the car, putting the gear in 1 low, low. Then I started the car and it actually could start up like that. And we just went on in 10km/h. The plan was to drive a bit and see when the car got hot, if the clutch started working again. After 35minutes driving it finally worked!!!:D What a good feeling, since we were only 4000km from home.

Well the next plan was to go higher up into the mountains, just a short trip to get a good view.

Sorry for being dense, but what did you have to bury to avoid smuggling it into Norway?

Looking forward to the next installment! :ylsmoke:

Man thats something I wish I could do. If ever I have the means to do anything remotely similar, I'll be all over it. (like dirt on a fender well)

Hi guys, nice trip, well documented. I have few questions in relation to TLC120 (non-arctic version) setups. What kind of shocks did they run, tires (size and brand), lockers? Any mechanical issues? I am considering preparing TLC120 or Hilux to tackle the same route as you did in May 2014, then Russia/Kazachstan/Mongolia.
