im telling you jeremy, i like my G, but opinions saying its better than a 100 are all emotional fanboy! just think, something thats "issue free" from the factory. window regulators that WORK for 300,000 miles. no STAR. it snickers at washboard roads... you'll start to see your favorite girl in a different light... the lines on her face, the unnecessary weight, her high maintenance and german stubborness... an 04 is a good year too. since youre a locker guy, while i havent used them, the herrod/eaton elockers appear to be the install and forget way to go. none of the nanny electric to pneumatic to booster motor to actuator to hydraulic 100 places to fail nutty professor crap.

youre gonna break, i feel it...

LOL Zimm, well done. My "girl" has treated me well so far, no crying or pissing or moaning. Ok, a failed LF inner door handle/cable 2nd day on our big SW trip, but at least my LF window is currently working so I can somehow get out of the G. ;)
Eric's is an '03. '04's were better, why?
I'd add a set of ARB lockers to Eric's, maybe re-gear it too at Nitro?

Keep in mind the main reason I haven't switched to Eric's LC100 is that I'm in the German automotive biz; a bit more difficult to drive a Toy.

The go-to place to check on the difference across Hundred model years, and also between Toyota and Lexus models, is a page on the Slee Off Road website:

http://www.sleeoffroad.com/newbie/newbieUZJ100.htm (comparisons start about 25% of the way down the page)

The big "dividing lines" for Hundreds are '99 to '00 (ATRAC replaces optional rear locker), '02 to '03 (5-speed transmission) and '05 to '06 (engine mods --> more hp). The changes from '03 to '04 are pretty insignificant.

BTW, it's cool if you'd like to add the lockers, but the ATRAC is more capable than might be imagined. Lots of discussion (especially on IH8MUD) and some useful YouTube videos about when it works and when it doesn't. Also, having a five-speed helps with the larger tires, and the consensus seems to be that stock gearing gets iffy around 35" tires. Stock might be fine with the 295/70/18s.

Im getting old! :(
Please see updated first post.. I'm still getting A lot of Intetest in this a long time after pursuing the sale..

Please consider this currently off the market for the simple reason of still enjoying the heck out of it and currently doing a lot of camping with the wife and kiddo.. Thanks for understanding..

It's because it's such a damn fine LC100 Eric!

what happened man? it was priced too far north to sell to poor LC guys, but to a G guy, its still a bargain. show up at Haralds hacienda in something from the pacific side of the axis powers, and tos out his pacifico for sapporo. he'll love it.

Eric doesn't want to sell it now. Guess I'll stick with my Benzo.
