For Sale: Custom built offroad trailer. Built by 4x4 Trailers Ltd (which no longer builds trailers) for Outlaw Offroad in Orange County. This trailer is similar in style to the Adventure Trailers Chaser and the military trailers and has some great custom features:

Trailer structure: 2.5" receiver tube runs entire length of chassis. This gives the trailer an extendable tongue via 2" square steel that can slide in or out of the receiver tube to adjust tongue length for weight balance. It also lets you put the extendable tongue in the receiver tube from the back of the trailer and tow the trailer "backwards" for recovery.

Coupler: Australian TREG coupler. This is the multi-axis coupler of choice in OZ and is very strong and silent.

Full water system: There are two, 10 gallon water tanks under the chassis protected by skid plates. The tanks are fully plumbed to the nose box which has a SurFlo pressure activated pump. Water options are a standard hose bib at the nose box which can be hooked up to a hose for cold showers or other uses. There is also a valve so that you can use the pump to draw water via a hose from any other water source such as a lake or jerry can. The water system also includes an on demand hot water heater (in the nose box) that runs off the propane tank mounted on the tongue. It’s currently set up as a hot water shower only, but there is a ½” copper threaded stub out to allow for future integration of hot water into the trailer’s plumbing system for other uses.

12V Power system: There are two Optima Blue Tops in the nose box wire together. They charge off the tow vehicle via a standard 7pin RV plug. The batteries supply power to: an led light strip in the nose box, an led light strip under the trailer lid, 2 very bright halogen flood lights on each side of the trailer (total of 8 lights all switch controlled), and the water pump. The 7pin RV plug has a wire that turns the flood lights on the back of the trailer on when the tow vehicle is put in reverse.

Suspension: Standard trailer leaf springs (maybe 20” long or so) and Rancho shocks. It would really be better if the springs were longer and softer so that would be something for the new buyer to change. It has a 3500# standard trailer axle with electric drum brakes. The brakes work very well and actually improve the stopping power of my tow vehicle despite the added weight of the trailer. Hubs are standard Jeep pattern 4 on 4.5. I can also include wheel adapters for Toyota pattern (6 on 5.5) and Ford (can't remember the size.)

***Please note: My wheels and tires are not included with the trailer sale as they match my tow vehicle. You will need your own wheels and tires to buy the trailer.

Trailer tub/box: Very sturdy welded steel construction. Tub is about 4’ x 6’ and is fully lined inside with truck bed liner. The lid has a rack on it for mounting a RTT and two gas struts for opening the lid. There are two hinged cross bars on the trailer roof rack that allow you to store items on the lid and tilt the RTT up for access those items (such as a table, rug, etc). There is a handy cargo net under the lid for storing soft items. There is a tailgate in the back for easy access without lifting the lid. The tub is powder coated in grey and has matching fenders that are very strong and can be used as steps.

The back of the trailer has a custom built and very sturdy spare tire swingout with space to mount a propane tank as well.

This trailer and spare tire swingout can accommodate 40” tires so it’s great for anyone who needs that kind of size. The picture is with my tire setup (315/75/16 BFG AT).

$4900. Price includes everything mentioned above. Price excludes: Tires/wheels, propane tanks/brackets, 2.5 gal jerry cans/brackets, and the Maggiolina.
