Dell Mini 9, obsidian black, upgraded as far as it can go: 2gb RAM, 64gb RunCore SSD, Draft-N WiFi card, 1.3 megapixel camera and 10 months or so left on the warranty.

The Dell is running Mac OS X 10.5.7 and everything works as well as on my MacBook unibody. It includes the original XP discs as well.

Asking $450 shipped.

I love this little computer and am extremely impressed with it. I've found it invaluable for carrying to and from school and work. I only want to sell so I can buy Dell's Mini 10v, which offers a regular 2.5-inch drive. (The Solid State Drive would be fantastic for an in-vehicle computer.)

PM me here if interested ...

Thanks, Jeff

(I can take some pics if wanted in the a.m.)

That is really cool! I want to try a Mac, but I don't think this would be a good application for me to start with as I want to use it for editing purposes and the Mini isn't really set up for that. But this would be an awesome carputer for a Mac person. TTT for you!

I had a Mini 9 for a couple of days, but the fact that the apostrophe key is in the wrong place made it unusable to me. That plus the difficulty of finding a Runcore drive to replace the existing 4GB provoked me to turn around and sell it.

I do think Apple should make a machine this size, because OSX would be my choice.

The apostrophe key is probably the biggest problem I have with the keyboard, but can be fixed with the US International keyboard for about $20 shipped. I'll do that if I don't sell it, but overall, I have few complaints about this little thing - it is super cool, plus, hacking it to run OS X is just as much fun.

The hack works great though as it is a retail install, so Apple software updates work nearly flawlessly. Updating to 10.5.7 took just one or two extra steps, and maybe 5 extra minutes, than it did on my MacBook. The community over at mydellmini.com keeps up with this stuff and gives good clear instructions.
