For Sale: 2012 Form Prevail 29er (Large) Showroom Condition

This bike was built in late 2012, and for a variety of reasons, never really got ridden much…at all. I would consider this bike to be in showroom condition, with not a single scratch on the frame anywhere. Not one. The fork was added to the bike just this week and has not been on a single ride, again, not one. The bike was previously set up as a singlespeed, and I have the original Paragon slider dropout if you want to make it a SS again.

This bike was recently rebuilt with all new components to make it as fresh and ready to roll as possible. The newer components are listed below.

Frame: The frame is a custom Titanium Form Cycles Prevail 29er. Custom options included a 44mm ID head tube, PF30 bottom bracket which hasn’t creaked or squeaked once. The matching Ti seatpost with ENVE clamp was an additional $350 option and looks great on the bike. I also opted for internal housing and cable guides for a very clean look.

Decals: There are two additional options I popped for. The custom head badge is made of copper (AZ is the copper state) and was crafted by a local artist in Sedona. The logos on the frame were media blasted then treated with aluminum oxide for a very cool darkened matte finish. That level of detail…cost another $400.

Value: I AM CURRENTLY ASKING FOR $3450.00

New the frame retailed for $3400 plus $300 for the post.
The current build puts the full retail value at roughly $6400 with tires, grips, and the whole sha’bang.

Because of the impeccable condition of the frame and the newness of the parts (nothing has more than a few rides on it) I am asking $3450. Again, the fork is new out of the box. Please, do not low-ball me on this bike. Serious inquiries and offers only. If I didn’t think it was well worth $3100, I wouldn’t ask as much. I’m already taking a huge hit on this deal.

Fit Metrics and ride attributes:

Overall, the frame is within the range of an average large frame. I’m 6’,1” and while the frame is “custom” has rather normal geometry. It is built to provide a more high performance ride. This is an incredibly fast and accurate handling bike. The wheelbase can be dialed in with the slider dropouts to fine tune the handling. It was built to be very stiff with the liveliness of the titanium adding to the general plushness of the ride. The geometry was designed to compliment a 120mm fork.

Frame Metrics:

Head Angle: 72.5
Seat Angle: 73
Seat Tube CT: 19.75
Top Tube, Horizontal: 24.75
Head tube length: 3.85

So why sell it? I have too many bikes. This one needs a new home.
