Coming along nicely! It's amazing what a fresh coat of paint (even if a DIY job) will do for making something look new again! That and polish up the chrome and buff out those rims and you've got a good LOOKING rig...just figure out the inside!

the inside is actually pretty minty. it just needs some new carpet. the 31 year old carpet is beginning to disintegrate.

they can be had pretty cheap. find a stock one. that way there won't be any PO electrical mods.

I like my tall skinnies. Haven't had an issue yet. They sure are heavy though - I wonder how heavy the 12.5s are! :Wow1:

what do you guys think about 33x10.5x15 tires?

They are a decent tire - maybe just a touch skinny for your weight class - also consider a metric tire if you want a touch more width. IIRC 285/75R16 works out to a 33x11.5x16. 16" steelies are not that much more expensive than 15" steelies. The tires tend to be a touch more expensive though (~$20 per tire depending on brand).

All this said, 33x10.5x15 would work fine IMO. Or just go 33x12.5 for the commonality. In theory the 10.5s will return better MPG.
