My 1998 24V QCSB
There are some slick rigs in this thread, holy crap!
Here's my basic old gal. 1998 24V 5spd QCSB 2500, Emerald Green Pearl. I got this in Feb 2015 off a friend because: 1) I'm a mountain biker so it would be sweet for trips, 2) it was a below-market value 'buddy price' compared to a stocker even though it has gauges/programmer/inejctors/exhaust/BJ's all done, and 3) because it's AWESOME and I've always wanted a stickshift Cummins.
When I first got it, didn't do any changes for a while just daily drove it (still do) and took it offroading with some friends in the Squamish Valley area to see what it could do (first time owning a truck let alone a diesel 4x4).
Pretty soon after, I took it on a long roadtrip with 6 people inside the quadcab, with the bed full of food, booze, tents, games, and firewood (collected on the road in).. that was the smoothest-riding it's ever been hehe..
Since I got it I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted it to look like: leveled out (turns out 2.5" spacers on stock springs is too stiff IMO) with black steelies, knobby 35's, body-painted flares, and 3rd gen hub caps (although I do keep going back and forth about whether to keep it blacker with no hubcaps)..
And as it sits today. I think spring plans will be Thuren 3" soft rate leveling springs, Carli progressive full leaf springs, and Fox 2.0's all round.
