It mounts in the license plate bracket extremely securely. You can bend the antenna lower than the roof line and it just bounces back.
Comes with the antenna and cable."

--- Cooltech makes great products. I actually have several areas to mount antennas to the rear bumper made by Jeeperman. I was just trying to get better reception by placing it up high. Looks like I should just move it down. Thanks for the idea.

Yes it is 5 on 5. There is not a lot of choices at the moment. AEV had the best buy for the buck. They were also built for this JK which helps a lot with keeping the tire inside the fender.

Wow, good looking JK. Knowing what you did with the TJ Rubi, I am not surprised at how well your latest project is going. Looks great man. Nice looking rack too! One of these days we will need to catch up. :campfire::friday:

That is too bad. I had their sliders on my Rubicon and they were pretty nice, liked the bolt-on design.

Justin, I was just slobbering over your gorgeous tire carrier bumper by Jeeperman, so I looked up the website. It appears they, too, are closing down.
http://www.jeeperman.com/. Total shame.

I think that is the size on full size Chevy trucks 4x2 till 2 years ago. Now I think all full size Chevy's run 6x5.5 reguardless of 2 or 4wd.

Actually, the Chevy truck 5 on 5 starts in '71 and runs until '98. The '99 have 6 on 5.5 (1/2 ton & LD 3/4 ton), which is the same as '70 and earlier. Funny what's old is new again. Go figure. :REOutArchery02:

Nice Rig

I also have the SPod w/Source in my 99TJ. Excellent bit of kit and easy to install itself. Adding additional items is a snap!

Keep the build up going!

Install - Baja Designs Soltek LaPaz HID Driving Lights (Black)

Straight forward install. I mounted these 8" lights straight onto the Shrockworks bumper. The light has an outer housing with 3 mounting bolts. I used grade 8 hardware and made a 3/4 spacer out of a couple of pieces of delron plastic. The spacer allows the winch handle to move freely between free spool and locked. Using the 3 bolts per light also keeps thief down since you would have to remove the hole bumper in order to remove the lights. The side of the lights are held on with keyed Allen bolts that also have the center punched out meaning you need a special key to unbolt them. The top of the light has an aluminum adjuster to do quick light adjustments on the trail. Here are the photographs.

3 bolts mounted to the bumper. Removal requires the bumper to be removed.

Delron spacer helps clear the Warn winch handle.

Keyed side allen bolts deter thief.

Finished install. The wiring goes directly to the sPod and Source(Post #10).

Aaron, looks great!! I wish the stock Jeep rims would have worked, but with 35" you need to add wheel spacers. So I opted for the AEV's.

Here comes the Lift!

Quick teaser -- The lift has arrived. Unfortunately it might be a couple of weeks before it gets installed. So on with the photographs.
