Gen 3 Exhaust

Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.
I too have looked for an after market exhaust set up, but have been unable to find anything in the states that includes headers and cat back.
I don't know about you but I'm interested in eliminating the suitcase sized muffler. One muffler I've heard works well is the Aero AT2525XL.
If you're interested in headers, you'll need to go custom.

Ive had the Aero 2525 on mine for 4+ years now and love it.....great muffler, great sound. Highly recommend it. I bought it online and took it into local muffler shop and they eliminated suitcase muffler in the middle and one in rear and put that Aero in the middle tucked up nice n high out of the way.

Thanks for the info I think I will do the same. Any fuel consumption improvement and or performance improvement noted. As with you my primary concern is really how low and in the way it is... just curious about any additional bonuses.

...there are headers. You may just have to pay a few bucks extra for shipping. It would be cheaper than custom headers.

PS, here's some ideas...

The Australian market has many options for the Gen III Montero headers, but the shipping is a killer. Sad to say that it's more than a few bucks extra.
I've spoken to a few Australian companies about various aftermarket parts and having them shipped, but the cost has proven too steep for me (more than the cost of the product). Even surface shipping seems too expensive. Perhaps if you know of a someone in that line of work, they could set up a cost effective shipping option.
