Ok not sure If this is in the right section but I would like to trade my Gen1 Toyota 4runner for a well built and taken care of AWD astro/safari. Im looking for a "Clean Example" not something that has been beat hard.
*May also consider a well care for gen3 4runner or possibly sell outright.*
Well over $20,000 invested in this restoration. most parts purchase through Toyota when available with very little aftermarket or reproduction items, the body and paint alone cost well over $10,000 The exterior finish is glass smooth and the body is arrow straight all the exterior chrome and trim is new Major mechanical work performed on all components, all new front and rear differential gearing 5.29 with lockers new drivelines adjustable shocks new 17-in wheels and tires The five-speed manual gearbox shifts like butter factory 22R four-cylinder rebuilt as needed with new timing chain new Weber carburetor headers and more. Starts and runs and drives excellent amazing power and acceleration and all ranges everything functions correctly All lights gauges heater wipers window switches. The removable top is in very nice shape however I just placed an order for a Tan softopper which has already been shipped to me. The interior is clean but is really the only thing in need of attention I'm about to order some ABS interior panels for the rear tailgate rear panels and front doors The middle sections are being produced as we speak and hopefully I may have those before something comes along. The only issue with the exterior is the passenger rear quarter panel there's a very small amount of bubbling on the bottom and after further inspection the body man took a shortcut there towards the end looks like he put some filler. I have already located a rust free rear quarter panel and it will be shipped to me hopefully before the end of next week. I have already made an appointment with a Valley Ford body shop here in Yakima Washington to drop off the runner sometime next week or the middle of next month once the panel arrives so it should be taken care of.
