I bought one, the duxtop 9600, still testing it out. Didnt get any of the bad high putch noise in so many reviews, so far...Who has tried induction cooktops for overlanding? I'm considering building a single cooktop into my counter.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I like staying all electric for camping. It works well. The only exception is my little diesel heater which I only need occasionally.I bought one, the duxtop 9600, still testing it out. Didnt get any of the bad high putch noise in so many reviews, so far...
Thanks, I'll have to remember to drain the oil after I use it. I tried it in the back yard and it works pretty good for such a small chain saw. You really need to bring a chain saw if you're going wheeling in Missouri.Nice choice!
I have Dewalts small pruning chainsaw, stays under the seat. They really cut better than one would expect, quiet, easy to grab and use. They do tend to leak oil however.
It was a 5AH battery. I was worn out before the battery was empty. It cuts great and is light, but is pretty wobbly fully extended. Most of the time, I just used the two poles, and not the third extension. Was that 4 hours on the 2 mAh battery (I think based on your pic a couple posts back)? If yes, that is crazy. I have been thinking about picking up one of these. Did you like how it cut? Was the pole sturdy?
It's so much easier jumping in and out of a vehicle to trim overhanging limbs with an electric chain saw. What a pain to do this with a gas chain saw, having to start it each time and worrying about spilling the gas in the cab or camper.I like the DeWalt pole saw idea. I picked up a DeWalt electric chainsaw that runs off the same 20v batteries I have for all my yard equipment and drills / drivers etc. It is surprisingly strong and cuts great. Small too... though it is a bit leaky for the bar oil.
They are super compact and handy and the batteries so far are great.
The leaking bar oil is the primary reason I have not purchased one yet. I don't want one from another manufacturer because I am 10+ tools deep in the DeWalt ecosystem.I like the DeWalt pole saw idea. Yeah I am a gas chainsaw guy. No problems starting my Stihl. However, I did see DeWalt now has a 60V, 20" bar chainsaw that I am tempted to get. I already have four 9 aH, 60V batteries so would be ready to go.It's so much easier jumping in and out of a vehicle to trim overhanging limbs with an electric chain saw. I still need the gas chainsaw for the big trees though.
