awh sad day! the very end made me giggle though lol

id like to see a real deal prerunner jeep though. maybe a jk unlimited, 4 door. with actual prerunner suspension and such. softer suspension with more travel would have taken that hit a bit better. maybe prevented a jeep death.

Watch JK with PreRunner Kit leave Rubicon in the dust at Moab.

Deep travel on shocks literally takes the bumps out of the road.

No idea what this kit might cost....But I'd like to have it on my next Wrangler in 2012 (or whenever they decide to put a real motor in the Wrangler)

The kit is about $3900ish + shocks. I have to wonder if you REALLY need a longarm conversion for 2-3" of lift on the new JK arms. I'm sure its better, but that is sure a lot of extra parts and complexity. The Carli dodge kits seem to do REALLY well with the standard arms on 3" of lift or so......

I'm not totally convinced about the new bumpstop technology they are using yet. Seems to work good, but I just can't see it being as good as a more normal hydro-pneumatic style 'bump.

The Tera kit is also running 2.0 fox shocks....I'd like to see some 2.5 OEM replacement KING shocks....

I'd have to say if the driver puts on a helmet, and there's not one for me, I'm out.

x 1,000,000. Its only luck that it rolled toward the driver's side and not the passenger's side. Those making the video should be ashamed of themselves.

And really, if you're going to run off road at speed, cage it and put in proper seats, restraints, and helmets. Otherwise, the next video could easily be in memory of the guy was in the passenger seat.

At the beginning, as they are getting in the Jeep, I thought "wow, that guy (passenger) sure looks familiar..."

Then I Realized I met him last year at a big RV show in ABQ, NM.

Great Minds think alike. I watched this before reading any of the posts and when the driver put on a helmet and the passenger looked in the back and then put on a HAT. The first thing I said to my friend was, "if the driver puts on a helmet, and there's not one for me, I'm out."

My thoughts exactly, along with "Why is that driver allowing a passenger with no helmet, when he has one?"

I understand the point of the video, I think......

Just seems done in bad taste IMO.

Dennis (the passenger) is a very experienced 4WD enthusiast, both personally and professionally. If he felt comfortable riding without a helmet then good for him, he is not obligated to any more than a motorcyclist is require to wear a helmet or a baja racer is required to wear a hans device (or full faced helmet for that matter). There is an element of risk when you leave your home, some live for it, some live to prevent it ;)

BS. It wasn't his experience that protected, but blind luck. If the driver feels a helmet was necessary for himself, then its his job to make sure his passengers are so equipped or not take them. The bit at the beginning was trying to be funny but turned out to be insulting in retrospect.

Life is about risk management, not risk avoidance (I've spent a fair amount of time on race track at speed, both me and my passengers helmeted of course), but this was bad management. Would you ride a motorcycle off-road at speed without a helmet, whether it was required or not? And Baja does require a helmet and all other sorts of safety equipment, not just a hat and 3-point seat belt.

Where did I say his experience protected him? With his experience he knew the risks and he chose to make the decision not to wear a helmet, simple as that. Your experience obviously varies.

I'd say the passenger can dress however he like in his companies vehicle ;)

Have I yes, dozens of times. I've done far too many dumb things in my short life and unfortunately have the scars, weld burns, cattle brand and stitches to prove it. Do I make a practice of it, absolutely not and with time I've grown far more cautious of my protection. But that doesn't mean I'm going to force my beliefs on others nor will I be wearing a helment anytime soon in my 4x4's. The 'blind luck' has saved my bacon in the 4x4 roll-overs I've encountered thusfar, why chance that lol. Its time to legalize adulthood in this country. Your all acting like California politicians :sombrero:

Helmet yes, but not a full faced helmet. My point was that driving a baja race car sans face protection and hans device is far riskier than driving down a Moab trail fast without a helmet yet I don't see you guys on Race-Dezert telling them how much 'blind luck' they all have.
