NIce Taco. I had a black 99 reg cab. LOVED that truck!!..Unfortunately it went to the Great Scrapyard in the Sky under the buy-back, at only 90K miles..
Anyway, I replaced it with a '00 Tundra. I recently picked up a set of '05-'12 Tacoma steelies to replace the fugly 5-star alloy rims. I was gonna go with the 16-hols steelies, and even bought one, but then I came across the 5-star steelies, and they were a better deal.
I got 4 of these for $244 shipped to my door:

They are supposedly dealer take-offs, so they are very clean.
I got a set of 255/85-16 Maxxis Bighorns on them. I dont like the center caps that go with them, so I'm deciding on which old skool caps I will eventually go with.
These are the caps that are supposed to go with them:
Here's what it looked like with the stock Tundra wheel on the front, stock 99 Tacoma (I LOVED those rims, and would have used those, but being 15", they wouldnt fit the front of the Tundie),
with 265/75's. (Dont mind the Cali lean..Its sitting on a slight incline, and I also havent levelled the rear yet..)
Here's with the new steelies and tires:
And with center caps from the early 90's 4-spoke alloy rims, that are my first choice in caps:
I have a few other sets of center caps from the FJ60's and mid-90's PU/Tacomas I'm considering.
And as to suspension, I went with Tacoma OME 885 coils, with Bilstein 5100s all around. I'm considering going with the 3 leaf progressive AAL's from Wheeler's Offroad in the back.
Anyway, all this can be done on a Tacoma, so it might be something for you to consider.
Oh, and the OME coils, 4 5100's and front diff drop were only $599 shipped to my door from Wheeler's. IIRC, the OME coils were about $180. The 3 leaf AAL with Ubolts is only another $150 from them...So about $600 for 2.5" lift all the way around, if you re-use your stock coils.
