Grand Canyon? May or June '07

Hey guys-- Thinking of a Grand Canyon trip in the May-early June time frame, so I have a few questions since I've never been to the area. Does anyone know of any good trails in the area? My second concern is weather, don't really know what to expect that time of year. Any info would be great.----Chris

Though I live in this State, I've only been to the North Rim :O so that is all to which I can speak, but...

May/June is pretty good IMO. Snow if any by then on the main North Rim area will be mostly gone, and June is still before the humidity really can crank in (all relative). Expect 90-100s in lower elevations, higher 110+ quite possible in the canyon by June, should still be sublimely dry. Higher altitudes maybe 80s.

I finally did the Tuweep area last July, and it was well worth the trip, I would make a suggestion for there.

As for trails, there are a lot, so I wouldn't know where to start. Are you talking hiking|biking|driving?

I'd be all over it, depending on the order of the day and length of the trip (it's a bit of a drive from here). Lotta hiking around there, MTB as well or so I've heard, also heard not much 4WD stuff.

I will most likely do it over a long weekend. I just want to get to a remote area for camping, maybe do some hiking. I could bring the mtn bikes, we'll see.
