NICE photos Scott.

Did you by any chance do wipeout hill when you were at 7-mile?

LOL - looks a little chilly in that first pic.

Scott,

Those pixs are soooo beautiful! I love Utah and that part of Colorado. If I was an imature sort of person--I would say I am insanely jealous :eek:r

Someday I would love to live in the gorgeous sandstone country of Utah--

Can't wait to hear about the trip and the Earth Roamers!

And talk about frigid! What kind of sleeping bag do use?

Well, I used THREE! It was quite cold, and will a biting wind. In the morning, it was in the 16 degree range.

I had a Cocoon fleece liner, my hostel bag (which I always leave in the truck) and my 20 degree Everest down bag. I used them like a comforter though, which explains the need for all three. It was chilly

The trip was great.

EarthRoamer Rally: A blast, combined with very interesting and well traveled clients. EarthRoamer as a company is something to aspire to, with dedicated employees and a high quality product. It was impressive to watch 7 ton trucks work through deep snow, mud and rocks.

There will be an article in Off-Road on this

White Rim Trail: I met up with Graham, Connie and Josh in Moab (they had just returned from Hole in the Rock) and we set out from Moab to my favorite campsite in the area. We woke to beautiful colors and warming temps.

Then, we drove most of the trail to Taylor Camp and another incredible vista. This trail always leaves me in awe.

LRNR: The Land Rover event was very cool, with a great group of members. I am always impressed by the diversity and experiences of LR owners. Super cool rigs and lots of diesel "buzz", including a company that is bringing in 300 TDI conversions for Disco's.

This will also be in Off-Road

Always great articles, I look forward to reading them. I just have a hard time finding OR mag.

I think because of your pics I'm gonna push the white rim trail higher on the priority list and do it ASAP!

16 degrees - a little taste of your arctic trip?

I found you don't get the full effect of the eezi awn unless you sprawl about. I feel like the mummy bags rob you of luxury in there.

How well does the tent bottom (wood/mattress) fair in that cold of a climate?
