Green 05-06 DC Tundra Limited?

So I have been on the hunt for a Green 05-06 Tundra Limited DC 4x4 for over a year and have yet to see one nation-wide. Wondering if anyone out there has ever spotted this rare bird?

I'm considering buying this SR5 and swapping the interior from a wrecked limited (and the wheels obviously).

After driving my tacoma for 7 yrs I've decided I need the fancy bits like heated leather power seats/sunroof/sliding rear window. I've come close to buying a blue one and a grey, but I keep lusting after the green. Have you seen this truck?

During my search for a 2005 or 2006 double cab Tundra about a year ago I came across a handful of them. Aside from the normal Rusty frames that you have to be on the lookout for you will also find an abnormally large percentage of the green Tundras have paint and clear coat that is peeling off from the roof of the cab as well as hoods. I don't think that's a deal-breaker for most of us out there, but it's something to consider. I ended up finding a silver truck and snatched it up.

Good luck in your search!

There was one last week on FB marketplace in North Philly with 95,000 miles on it and leveled already for $8000.

This one?

Am really hoping for the VVTI which is only in 05-06. And limited trim. Though this def did catch my eye.

Yep, I almost made the drive 5.5 hours from Virginia to buy it, but I found an 05 AC that ticked all the boxes instead.

Having driven an 04 for the last 15 years I would absolutely hold out for the vvti and 5 speed.

100% agree. I’ve been driving a ‘00 4x2 Tundra since 2005, I recently picked up a ‘05 Sequoia 4x4. I was pleasantly surprised at the performance it has even though it’s hauling an extra 1000lbs around.

Took me 5 months to find my 06 DC at a decent price but it was worth it. Also got lucky since seller was interested in a cash no BS buyer. Def watch out for frame rust. Imo its well worth going with a 05-06 for the 5 spd.

Yeah thanks. Definitely cements my plan to hold out for the 05-06. I had my frame replaced on the Tacoma I drive currently so I am well aware of what to look for. Kinda locked on a southern truck or one that's already had a replacement.

Still no luck on Green/limited 4x4...

What is it about the Limited trim that you like/want?
In order of priority probably leather, power seats/lumbar, power rear window, sunroof, heated seats, better audio (I know some of those are optional in SR5).

I dont drive much (maybe 6k/yr), but when I do it's usually an hour+. I've been driving the same tacoma for like 10 years, so I'd like to at least feel like I've upgraded when I am driving. The limited interior definitely looks/feels a lot nicer. So here we are.

/The other rigs I've been looking at are Lexus GX/LX, but I always come back to needing a truck bed for my bikes and dogs and kids and boat ********.
//New Tundra is too big hence the 05-06.

Are there any interior differences besides the leather seats, woodgrain, and optional navigation? I think all the double cabs have the sliding rear window.

If you like to modify things you could buy an SR5 in green and do a few very reasonable modifications to the interior to get what you're after. I certainly understand why you'd rather get a limited than open up the modification can of worms, though.

The used Tundra market is pretty brutal when you limit yourself to trim level, color, and only two year models. I'm not crazy about the cloth seats or gold paint on my SR5 trim and I DESPISE the chrome grille & mirrors, but I was willing to compromise thanks to the trucks low mileage and excellent condition/maintenance records.
