Green desert

Just thought I'd post a couple of pics from my last couple of days in Tucson. Its startlingly green. For those that are not familiar with Arizona, we get summer rains called Monsoons.
The desert is so pretty right now.

Shoot, I can't remember the name, but it was out of Catalina State park. About 3 miles up. I don't think it was the Tanque Verde falls though. I'll try to remember the name of it.

Miss it a little South of northern Phoenix if you will. Other than for one week a few back, we havn't seen a drop and everything's in that nasty dried-out-but-why-is-it-humid state.

Very true. Folks don't realize how different Phoenix and Tucson are. The type of desert and the amount of rainfall is very different.
Tucson is beautiful, desert wise anyway. The rest, well... As long as you are in the right part of town. :Wow1:

I bet it was, its about the only place to find natural running water near Tucson.
