Green desert

Shoot, I can't remember the name, but it was out of Catalina State park. About 3 miles up. I don't think it was the Tanque Verde falls though. I'll try to remember the name of it.

Out of Catalina state park, it was probably up Romero canyon on the North side of the mountains or one one of it's neighbors. It's really nice up there when the water is running.

Romero, thats it.
The next day we did sabino. Another nice place to see water running.
Sooner or later I'll convince my dad to tag along with me to chiva falls. He's not much of an offroader.

If you strap him down with bungies he'll do fine. :D

Great photos! I've done Romero once..very cool place. Always some water back in there. Infact...years ago...many years ago trout could be found up there in Romero.

They used to have some outstanding swimming holes up there too. After the last big fire in the watershed above the canyon, tons of soil and sand washed down stream and filled up the deep ones. :(

Maybe in time, nature will bring them back.:jumping:

Beautiful scenery! Thanks for sharing.

Why is the horse blindfolded? Pin the tail on the donkey?

The horse isnt blindfolded, its a "fly mask" its a screen material, the horse sees just fine, but keeps the flys out

Soaz, awesome pictures, im a bit jealous atm, doc still says stay at home and take it easy (10 months later)

What a green summer. T-town native summering in AK. Makes me wish I was home. I heard the monsoons are excellent this year!
