GXV Adventure Truck; how many here?

Hi,
I wanted to share my experience with GXV. First, I am an owner of a GXV 2018 Turtle, purchased new. We considered EC but at the time the Fuso was not certified to burn b20 diesel fuel and with more States going to b20 we did not want to get stuck with a vehicle that would limit our travels in the US and Canada. Customer service is indeed important but be sure you check all the details of the truck you are buying it’s up to you as the buyer to do that and to do the research. You can not depend on the seller to do this for you. This goes for anything you purchase not just an expensive X Vehicle.
My experience with GXV was A+. Contact between us was always professional and timely, anytime I had a question about our Turtle per and post production I receive an answer within 4 hours or so. Mike and Rene are passionate about their business and willing to help in any way they can. I don’t know why you have had a poor experience with your contact with them but I can attest that this is not normal for this company.

Sorry I haven't been on! So far the Adventure truck is doing great. So far no major trips just a few small 2 or 3 day trips. Our biggest trip was driving it home from Missouri thru Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming,Utah, Nevada and home to California. Everything is working great and we love it. We average about 8 to 13 miles per gallon. 108 gl diesel. Very stable when driving in heavy wind and rain. One upgrade I would like to do eventually is air ride suspension.

We carry an extension panel that attaches to the awning case and can be staked to the ground to give shade when the sun is low...

Our awning is 5m long which gives a lot more room under the awning.

Works good in the rain also to give a dry area next to the truck...

Guess there is no reason you couldn't put an awning on both sides of the truck. Seems like many of the pickup crew do it. Also, is there any reason the awning couldn't be closer to the ground aside from dragging it off in the bushes?

So far we have not had any problems offroad. Haven't done anything really crazy yet!
