Kevin, do some research on DBL Designs customer service. You might be frustrated as well.
Yup, have personal experience with their lack of CS. They lost me as a wheel customer for sure

If you could live with something a little smaller you could consider an EC EXD on a RAM one ton chassis?

After owning my FWC, one of the key reasons I’m moving to a hard side is setup time, condensation, etc associated with pop tops.
I want to arrive at camp and minimize setup and take down time. And several other reasons
i own a UXV. i tried to reach out to them once for some repair issues. got the run around, then a" promise to look into my questions", then a "i never heard of you", then crickets. love my rig but i hope i never need any major factory repair!
Hmm, as I don't know you're real name I can't really comment, but we do try our best to be responsive and we have recently hired a new sales manager as well as a customer service manager to make sure we don't let anyone either customer or prospective customer fall through the cracks. We are very fortunate to have a crew of people who truly care about what they do.CS is a bit better (Michelle is active here), but still lacking in my experience.

We've been making 'pop tops' or more favorably lifting roof houses for a long time. Lance and I have a 5 minute rule, if it takes longer than 5 minutes to set up or take down, we don't do it or bring it with us. The EXD and EXP roofs are on worm drive actuators and we've set the timing to less than 30 secs with the push of a button. The stairs are electric and everything else is also push button. We're very lazy people. As for condensation, its never really been an issue for us but we have gone to exhaust fans on all models (the EXD does have an inset exhaust fan in the roof whereas the EXP exhaust is a different set up.)
30seconds to lift the roof?
Yes, less than 30 secs to lift the roof. We set it that way for safety reasons, e.g., to make sure you have enough space, no branches in the way etc.
Just wanted to provide some follow-up feedback.
#1 Still haven't heard back from AT/GXV, it's been a month now.
#2 I've been very impressed with Michelle at Earthcruiser's level of service, and it was evident today as well when I took a tour of their EXD (on Chevy) and EXP (on new Fuso V8). Very personable, very transparent with what is new with the rigs, what's still being tested, changes for the future, etc. HUGELY HUGELY impressed with the overall build quality, fit/finish, level of detail I saw today (and I'm a stickler for this, with high expectations honestly). And the EC production staff were so friendly, even when we were in their way of working while trying to check out the EXP interior. They were also eager to share the specific details they were working on, as well as new changes (more great ideas) being implemented. Lots of creative people and artisans for sure. Earthcruiser has it going on, hands down.
Glad to hear some positive feedback with a higher end builder! Kudos to EC!
Yeah... I’m probably on 4-5 months and several emails with GXV that have never been replied to...
