GXV Adventure Truck; how many here?

I've creeped the hell out of their IG feed! :)

Great folks with a rad truck!

I'm trying to get into on the front suspension GXV uses and its seems like government grade classified info! hahahaha

If anyone could get me some detailed photos of the front springs, how they mount, what spacers they are using, and details on how they move the track bar, that would be great. I've been searching for months!

You will find more owners of Turtle models on the RAM 5500 so you might have more luck getting info from one of them on the RAM mods...

Great people indeed, helpful in answering questions.
Yeah, even in videos GXV doesn't say anything that I've heard.
TwoIfOverland won't do this for you?

I will have to look around, can’t seem to find a yacht, ranch, or jet in my possession :)

Stealthy, I like it! ;)
(And yes, there are only a few GXV owners here, just like only a few ER and few EC owners here. Others are yachting, ranching, jetting, or polo'ing :)).

Thanks Steve. I actually started with a phone call. That led to Kim(on behalf of Rene, since Rene was out at the time) emailing me the brochures. I informed Kim I'd look them over and reply with any questions, she said Ok, Rene will get back to you. I reviewed and replied to the email with some questions. No response. Resent the email, still no response.

Understood they could possibly get lots of emails, but that's not an excuse in my book. Been in business a long time, and even if it takes me working thru weekends to catch up on inquiries/questions/etc, I've answered every single one (with an apology for the delay if it's a week later). We're also in a global marketplace, where email is universal and standard communication any more. It's not like I was sending AT a message in morse code, or speaking in a foreign language where they needed to find an interpreter.

Have you seen any other AT's other than the gray RAM(probably RallyeX's, unless they built a second) or white RAM?

I agree that many of these companies could improve their communications, but evidently they have enough business to keep them busy or they would likely figure out how to answer the emails. I have had the same problem with many other companies also trying to find information on vehicles or parts.

Don't you think this lack of proper communication could catch up with them once the economy slows down?

And while it's a trend, having enough business to where they can't keep up with customer service/new client inquiries is no excuse. IMHO this is improper business management. If you're THAT busy to where you can't reply to inquiries within a few weeks, then the business needs to hire more support staff. More staff handle more inquiries (and also improve the website, posting a FAQ page which answers many common questions, thus limiting the amount of straightforward-question-emails coming in), which potentially leads to more sales. More sales means you may need to hire more production staff(in this instance of vehicle manufacturer/outfitter). That's how you maintain and grow a business. And on and on and on...But what do I know? ;)

The GXV Turtle on a Ram Chassis WAS on my radar for a little bit, as i've seen them up close and liked them.

But their lack of communication and non replied emails or phone calls quickly turned me away. It was Deja Vu with my FWC Fiasco all over again.

My money is as green as the next guys and ill spend it elsewhere

I don't know your project and whether or not it is a DIY, but Pohl spring works in Spokane WA can make you as high performing a Ram 5500 (or F550) near GVWR heavy camper front and/or rear suspension as you need. Their parts/labor pricing is quite fair, especially given the amount of time and effort they put into making a custom product, and workmanship is solid. They've been in the suspension business for a long time. You just need to tell them what you want to do. They have made many, many coil and leaf spring setups for everything from semis to daily driver pickups to offroad racing trucks to gov firetruck brush rigs to F550 offroad oil industry rigs, etc. I don't think they'll have any trouble with a 5500 Ram camper with large wheel/tire like an Earthroamer or Adventure truck/Turtle) and will ensure your OEM steering components are up to the task or replaced with superior equipment.
I could see going with a kelderman or other air (I think DBL designs in TX is working on a rear air system for 5500/550) in the rear if you didn't mind the extra failure points, maintenance issues but on the front axle where your weight is likely a lot less and pretty close to what the OEM engineered the truck to do, i don't think airbag systems are necessary or much of a performance enhancement....though I must admit having 6-8" of auto-leveling on all four points of contact at a campsite would always be nice.

Amen brotha! Interesting feedback--so it's just not me.
That means GXV's lost at least 2 solid and active "overlanders." <shrug> Their loss.

Kevin, do some research on DBL Designs customer service. You might be frustrated as well.

Yes sir..

But... On the plus side, I’m pretty confident I can do my own variant pretty well. Gonna take me a lot longer, and probably end up more expensive, but will he MINE
