Henri’, I am not sure that this response from the plithy helmet addresses my question. Perhaps you may offer some input. How many times can a vehicle pay import duty? Every time? A sales tax on each sale to another buyer would be an apparent tax we see all the time but a Tariff also?

TDS or not. Tarrifs are taxes on you.

It is just what I am reading.

Foreign-made vehicles imported into the U.S., whether new or used, either for personal use or for sale, are generally dutiable at the following rates:

• Auto 2.5%
• Trucks 25%
• Motorcycles 2.4% or free
