Hello All,
Here are some pics of my recently completed 4x4 conversion. The van is a 2007 E350 with 33K kilometers and has the 5.4L gas engine. I used Moog CC880S front coil springs with Michael's Mgmetalworks kit and 4" lift rear leaf springs from Chris at Ujoint. Other parts like tranny X-Member, fox 2.0 shocks, transfer case shifter and linkage, gas tank shortening template are also from Chris. Great service from both of them.
The van drives and tracks really nicely. I had a wheel alignment done last month and have attached the report. Caster came out pretty good and required no adjustment. The front axle used was a 2015 F350 with 15K kilometers, with 3.73 gearing matching the stock rear differential gearing. Tires are 275/70R18 Michelin LTX A/T2's. Power, while not breathtaking, is fine. Only issue yet to be resolved is that there is a electronic incompatibility between the the 2015 front axle wheel speed sensors and the older Vans ABS controller. Apparently a digital vs analog signal issue, so ABS is not working. Braking otherwise is great with those honkin' big front brakes. We are heading out on an inaugural camping/road trip to Vancouver Island this weekend for a week.:wings:

Aren't the Moog CC880S springs the stock E350 part replacement in terms of sprung and unsprung spring length or am I getting the part numbers mixed up?

Here are a few interior pics. I don't have many. The Van was made by a company called Great West Van Conversions.

I think the Moog stock replacement spring is CC880. I first tried a set of those but only had about 1" of up travel to the bump stop because of the weight of the camper conversion. The CC880S (note the "S") yields about 3" of travel to the bump stop.

Ok that makes more sense. I was trying to figure out how the van was sitting level with a 4" lift in the rear with stock spring heights, which was incorrect on my part.

I think the MG axle brackets provide some lift too, the spring sits higher off the axle.

Bikersmurf, we will passing through Victoria on the way to Port Renfrew. We'll stay at the First Nations Pacheedaht site for a couple of days and then head up to the Bamfield/Pacific Rim area. After that, not really sure.
The Island certainly has lot of great remote and scenic areas.

Congrats Jim! The MG swap does feel good, doesn't it? Please let us know how you take care of the ABS problem. That is the only thing I have left undone. Mine is a 2006. I picked up some circa 2006 ABS sensors from a Dana 60, but haven't swapped them in yet. I'm at about 9k miles since I completed the swap - all good!

We had the ABS issue on a recent coil conversion, wound up using the 99-04 F series sensors shimmed up to clear the tone ring and once the tuner was installed for the new gear ratio and tire size it was all good.
