Hardsider wedge camper out of Ohio

VanIsle_Greg

I think I need a bigger truck!
Does anyone know if they are still in business. Been calling and messaging for 3 weeks, no response!
Website is still up and working... nothing I saw there to indicate they are not still operating.

Interesting design and pretty cool concept with the hard-ish sides. Great idea really...if it works and stands the test of time.

They took my deposit and disappeared. They appear to be crooks!
Last post on IG was May and I have not seen sponsored adds on FB for a while. Looks like their shop was pretty well equipped with equipment and employees to just give up but maybe there overhead outweighed their sales?

Looks like they have "news" bits dated 10.29.24 on the website. Just to see more details about the thing, I went to the "start my build" page and it's a faulty page that constantly reloads. So, whether they're there or not, I don't see how they can be making any sales.

I too have not heard from them for a few weeks now.....nothing. Initially, I ordered and put down half for a camper to be completed by the end of September. They called me at the beginning of September and said it would not be ready until December and yeah....called, emailed and texted them mid-December and no response. I told them it's okay if it's not ready yet, just want someone to respond but nothing......not yet anyway. Has anyone been to their facility in Cincinnati?

I was there before Christmas. They are busy as hell. There are at least five units in production and the CNC was going all day. There's only about 7 people.

I didn't really like the look of this camper UNTIL I saw the all black version on a Gladiator from their Instagram.

I've been struggling trying to find someone that actually owned this camper. I hope you consider posting about your experiences with this camper, both with the company itself and your usage of the actual product.

A YouTube user @SonnyFodale-n7k commented on a couple of new Hardsider videos created by Welcome To The Outdoors/Let's Go Outside. Both videos are linked below. I'm genuinely interested in this camper and have been trying to find anyone who has one and can give real world input and reviews of what's it's really like to own and use one. Suffice to say, this user's comments are really interesting, especially considering they've seemingly fallen off the Earth (other than Traveler18 who just posted that they are still alive and kicking).

Here's the user's comments:

A Bedrack into a Truck Camper - Hardsider

You won’t get those because they don’t respond to customers after taking 50% deposits. If you squeak loud enough they deliver you a leaky, unusable POS with shoddy wiring, no room for bedding, and a convoluted excuse for why you are unable to open the hatch and exit your truck… if it’s and F150. After months of empty promises when I can even get a response, they (Noel) will “make a commitment” to give you a refund (after six months) and then ignore you for weeks. They still owe me $7500 for an August 1st deposit. I’ve been in touch with three other people in the same situation. I had mine for less than 24hours before I had them remove it on 12/31. I have full pictures and videos to demonstrate these claims, including the water intrusion from driving in the rain.
Not well built at all. And they don’t return calls for months on end after getting your deposit. Buyer Beware.

They also commented on their other video:

How a Hardsided Truck Camper is made - Hardsider Factory Tour

I have details pics and videos of the garbage they delivered after almost six months. Had it removed in less than 24 hours. And now they aren’t refunding my $7500 deposit. This has been a nightmare and I am in communication with several people that gave deposits before me and still can’t even get a response. Buyer Beware.
I sold my Astro to get one of these and it’s been a six month nightmare. Buyer beware.
Looks good on video, not up close. Buyer beware.
They will. And then they won’t return your calls and emails for months and months. I was promised that they are “committed to refunding my $7500 deposit” after six months and five trips to their shop.
I offered to sign an NDA but they seem to prefer forcing litigation and dragging this whole debacle out. Posts, product video and photos forthcoming. And not just from me.
