My own experience with Hardsider was not great. I put 50% down last May. They pushed delivery back from Aug to December, then stopped communicating. I tried phone, text, e-mail and LinkedIn messages over a period of a couple of weeks. I gave up and did a chargeback on the card I used for the down payment. That got a response from Sam Pellerito at Hardsider, who promised my build in a couple of weeks. Since the chargeback was successful & I no longer had money on the table, I told them that I was no longer interested.
Too bad - they have an interesting product. But from conversations with them and from the video's it's clear that it is going to be time consuming to ramp up manufacturing, with many complex CNC'd parts, custom extrusions, exotic fabrics, etc. Obviously difficult to build, which is perhaps why they're having such a hard time getting off the ground.
No excuse for not responding to calls and e-mails from customers though.
