Hello ... from Chile

Hey JP, awesome truck, awesome scenery. I was north of you in Peru in September, some of those shots of the gravel road switching back and forth up the mountain with a long drop on the other side are very familiar. Chile looks prettier than the part of Peru we were in, however it was still pretty nice. Ciao.

Jim

Hey Jim , thanks a lot. Well I've been marginally in southern Peru, but asides of the racial differences of Peru and Chile (Peru has a high% of indian population, Chile the other way round) is that Chile has a larger variety of climates and scenarios. Peru is mainly desert and some sub amazonian jungle. Chile however has desert in the north (hot springs and volcanoes to the mountains), mediterranean (like LA or Southern California) in central Chile, cool rain forest in the South of Chile like Oregon with lots of lakes and volcanoes , tundra further down in Patagonia and Antartic, not counting Eastern Island that is south pacific climate.

Next time visit us :victory:

I am going back in July of next year. I will come to Chile one day.

Very cool JPVM! What happened to the Hardbody? I remember you from the AC forum!

Hey man howdy ? Oh yes, used to be a firm member @ AC forum ... now with the HB sold (like 5 years ago) and owning a Nissan Patrol (that shares few things with US models) I have few things to share there. Also since the rest of the old gang have left from there , I am now a bulletin board orphan ... ahahhaha

The HB is still as it looks here , but lives in another town, the only change is a set of Subaru WRX front seats :)

Take care
JP

Hey Marek , cool , I also live in Las Condes, close to the road that goes up to Farellones (ski resorts). That MT biking trip from Chaiten - Coyhaique must have been a lifetime expreience, Carretera Austral is a wonderful place. Did u go to Pumalin ?
