That is not to say the KLR isn't a decent bike...it is. But you can outfit basically any bike out there to carry camping gear.

The KLR is definitely not out of consideration. The main reason it is not on the forefront is because this will mainly be a highway cruiser with fire road use when we get to our destination. It is a two-wheeled version of the RAV4 car camping that my fiance likes to do with just a touch of the expedition that I want to do with my Samurai.

I think Matt is lined up for it. Yeah, I'm still up here. Getting in my NorCal fishing, mt. biking, and fine dining fix.

I guess if Matt doesn't end up buying it I should see if anyone is interested in a good gas mileage Tracer here. Anyone?
