Help with a blurry shot.

Hey guys. I don't know if there is any help for this or not. I am no photoshop expert but I have heard there are ways to clean up shots that are a little blurry. I know its not a mirical cure and kind of only a band aid but I got a shot of my nephew that I really love but the lens was too wide open and I didn't get it focused right. Is there any help? Is there a good way to mask problems like this in photoshop? I only have a crappy facebook shot right now. The orgininal is on my other computer.

Thanks.

I'll be a little mean here and say that you should re-shoot it. :)

I was waitng for that.

It was one of those things. It looked fine on the LCD. Didn't notice till we left that it was out of whack. I never see this kid so reshooting isn't really an option. Normally I wouldn't care but his mom seen it and has been bugging me for a couple of weeks about a copy. I'd like to give her something that will look OK.

I know the photoshop method isn't the greatest but I figured for her it would be OK.

Ryan, send me the original, if you have the RAW, send that, and I'll see if I cant clean it up a little. I'll email back the XMP file so you'll have the data saved so you can see what I did.

Here is the smaller file you posted with a quick clean up done to it. Is his hair really red? When I ajusted the colors, it came out much more red then in the original image?

Hope you dont mind me taking the liberty to copy and run a few things through it...if so, I can delete this

When I suggested that you re-shoot it I knew it would be one of those 'I can't re-shoot it' things. :)

I say sharpen it a little and let her have it. She won't care if it's sharp or not. she knows what her son looks like. She just wants this very nice little memory trigger to have around.
