FINALLY have been able to get some work done. Fist thing in is the Genesis dual battery system with twin Odyssey 1500 batteries. All the electrical builds off of this so I started with a solid foundation. It is everything I was expecting. The only little issue was the stock Jeep positive terminal wouldn't cinch down so I had to add one of those little lead spacers.

On to adding the winch. I guess I am one of the few who still likes the 10A bumpers and want to keep it. I went with a Rugged Ridge 10A winch plate. Nothing sexy and is solid enough to get the job done. The down side is I still need a fairlead adapter so I placed an order from Just for Jeeps so it will have to wait a week. I did get the fairlead powder coated red and am looking forward to see it on there., should be just right.

While I wait the S Pod is going in, it's the next logical step.......................

I like the 10A and HR bumpers also.
I wound up buying an AEV Jeep, but before that I was focused on the HR, and I would have certainly kept the bumpers and hood.
Nice build you have started.
Looks great in white also.

Looking good! Wish some of these were around when I bought in 2012. Could have saved much time/effort.

The Spod is in. Nice, simple and clean. I am having a little troubles enjoying this addition as I'm having a little buyers remorse with it. With the power management from the Genesis DB system and this it seems to me to be over kill. Don't get me wrong the Spod is a great unit, I just think that it is over redundant and the $ could have been used elsewhere. If I didn't have the Genesis it would have been a no brainer. One little complaint though is I did order it with the six rockers to be red and four were red and two are green. My bad for not noticing sooner and doing something about it. It's not the end of the world but for a top end product I expected more.

Next up was suppose to have been the ARB CKMA12 but I didn't like my choice of a mounting bracket and figured it doesn't get easier than now to do something about it. A quick order to Northridge 4x4 and I'll have an EVO mount to continue on with. In the mean time I'll get some older style Rigid Industries D2 hyper spots on the A posts and a few smaller projects out of the way waiting to the brown Santa sleigh to show up again.

I did a quick video walk around the rig, kind of a before picture if you will, and posted it on You Tube for some friends. The mic picked up the moderate wind pretty bad so I dubed in some corny stock You Tube music. I thought I put it here for kicks too

For what it is worth, I like the stock HR bumper as well. The only thing it was missing was lift points for a Hi-Lift jack.
Easy enough to add, and now I can lift from the front, rear or side of the Jeep as needed. :)
We have a lot of big rocks in the Sierras. The front lower edge of the bumper, and the steel skid plate have quite a few scrapes and gouges, but no dents.
For being such a lightweight bumper, it is plenty strong. :)

The down side to this bumper with a winch, is the winch sits so tight to the grill, it has to be removed and the winch mounting bolts undone in order to change a headlight bulb.
Not a problem in your case with the factory LED headlights. :victory:

Yea Scott it is not nice not having lift points. That will change in due time.
Where in Nor Cal? I bounce between the State of Jefferson and the Reno area................

I plan on doing a quick video (hopefully this week) showing how well the OEM LED headlights work off road. Trying to find my 300' tape so I can place cones out to give the true perspective on video. They are great!!!!! A guy posted a video driving around town showing them off.

So the Rigids are in. The only down side is the two lower bolts came out nice but when I went to put them in they just spin. I can pull them out but seems like there is suppose to be a nut back in there that fell off. Have to figure out the fix for this. The only ones I can find are the ones that strip them while trying to get them out and have to drill to get them out.

Following up on the LED comment, while these are the basic D2 hyper spots, and they are still bright, they just don't WOW like they use to with the old OEM headlights. Some folks upgrades don't compare to the new OEMs!

The new EVO ARB compressor bracket came in fast - Thanks Northridge 4x4! I have it all mounted up but I had to pull the air filter as it is too tight to fit. I''l have to get a few bits and pieces to put in a small elbow. I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue. I did use the back set of holes as per the instructions. Just a little set back for a couple of days. I am glad I swapped out to the EVO bracket.

ps - I know it is mounted backwards from the instruction but it was the only way I could get the drum to rotate low enough and be able to tighten the Allen nuts.

Managed to make it to the big box store before they closed and got the elbow. I think I will put a couple of zip ties on the air filter so there won't be a chance to viberate off on the road. Still need to wire it up......

That should do it for under the hood stuff.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with the Terflex level kit for this rig?

There is a single ARB compressor with EVO mount for sale and I really only want it for tires. Always wanted the twin, but for the amount I will use it I don't think I can justify the price. I can get the one off CL with the mount for under $250.

The fairlead adapter plate came in and I was able to mock everything up to see how it all fits. You know, with a little effort that could be a "hidden" winch. Of course I would have to hide the Mick Jagger lips I put on it! I had the stock fairlead powder coated to match the hooks to add just a little accent to it.

As you can see I was also able to install the Bolt hood lock
