HUMMER H2 Overland truck

Have you seen the YouTube Channel Three if by Land? That family must have spent enough on their H3 to buy 2 or 3 new overland rigs. They seem to have had nothing but issues with the swap.

Full disclosure, I have no personal experience with Hummers, just what I see searching around. Now if you want to talk Defenders..
I haven’t seen anything on YouTube in a decade or so, I’ve only seen it done through the forums and seen good results through those that have completed it there.

I’m sure like anything with driveline changes involved if you don’t start with the right components and don’t understand the engineering behind it there are opportunities to get in trouble.

I’ll add, I’ll rag on the 60/65 as much as most but honestly I don’t hate it. It’s extremely simple, cheap, has a dedicated aftermarket and doesn’t have stupid ass slams and clunks like the modern 8 and 10 speeds all have today giving me whiplash in every business travel rental I get, and there are 30 million of them still on the road today. Oh and my original 65 outlasted all of my friends F150 10 speeds.

Given the opportunity I’ll take a 6 speed manual before the auto.
