So for year or so my jeep has been getting just a little hot (215F) in the woods. On really hot days it would cause the jeep to vapor lock. If I poored water down over the fuel rail, it would fire right up. The radiator was new, So I tried the following:
All to no avail, well last weekend I was laying at just the right angle, under the jeep and saw my head pipe was kinked on the back side, out of sight. $34 dollars for a new head pipe and now I am cool as a cucumber
The pipe was kinked almost shut but you could not tell
Anyone have any other fun stories?
rerouted the fuel lines
replaced the rubber lines with steel
moved the fuel pump
replaced the fan
new fan shroud
new O2 sensor
