I have an 05 TJ with the dana 44 and 3.73 gears. Here's the crunch... I have an ARB for a 44 front in 4.10 gearing that I've been sitting on for years. After calling ARB tech, they've assured me that it will indeed fit in the rear axle I have under the Jeep. I really didn't want to complicate things with an air system, and I'm not totally upset at the gearing I have. But, I already have the ARB compressor and wiring. (I've been sitting on this stuff for at least 7 years, and it has zero miles on it.) I wanted to know if the gas mileage in the stock rubi was really different from what I get. I'm averaging 16 in town and 19 to 20 on the freeway with the 4.0 engine.
I know with this settup I'm half way to being locked, and all that I need is the front locker and needed gear set. I guess my issue is whether I shoot myself in the foot with my daily driver, or do I change up for the Elocker in current gearing and deal with electrical stuff.
Any experiance and thoughts on this would be nice.
Thanks
