Check out the public FB group on Xplores. Tom Hastings gave a very informative write up on the new Xplores. He is a huge fan but points out that like 99% of trailer MFGers they never list the dry and tounge weight correctly.

Correction his post said folks should know that if they choose the stage 3 option that the tounge weight increases quite a bit then what is listed on IO s website

Reading some posts on Xplore FB about mattre upgrades to the x195. The stock mattress was replaced with a nice purple full size that was 4" longer. So I assume the stock mattress is not even a true full. Also the "partical board" frame was upgraded to birch plywood. Crazy that IO would build such a high end unit but not include at least a full sized mattress and real plywood or why not use compiste board?

I continue to be amazed about the small beds they are putting in the trailers. Frequently, they are not even full width "full" size at 54". Yet they frequently build the bathrooms with sinks, separate shower and a medicine cabinet. There's already one sink in the trailer, I don't need two. I'm more than willing to trade off a full feature bath layout for a relatively spacious bed for two that offers a good nights sleep.

I'm surprised that these high priced trailers don't give buyers a "budget" during the specification stage to choose and ship your own mattress to them for installation. We were able to do that with our Kingdom Camping trailer and picked out a sweet 10" thick gel/memory foam queen size mattress that is perfect for us. If I paid six figures for a trailer and then had to immediately replace the mattress, I would be unhappy. Here's our choice!

You mean you could choose anything and didn't choose a waterbed?!? I feel like this is a missed opportunity for you. Imagine: extra off-grid water supply AND that wavy night's sleep you and your wife didn't know you didn't need! The tandem axle could definitely handle it.

Ya you could also pull a ROA and place a hot tub on your roof. Water bed at night soak in the roof hot tub and watch the sunset. Some poor soul bought that hot tube x22 used.

Love how they claim cinderella is trying to save the world by providing toilets in third world countries. Wait at 5-7k a pop what 3rd world country can afford those on every block. Laughable

Glad to see the Xplores coming down to reality. You guys seem to realize they came out over priced. I feel sorry for anyone who jumped on these for 120k. Just wondering if stage 2 batteries and stage 3 solor would make more sence?

Yes, stage 2 batteries and stage 3 solar would be a better match. A good rule of thumb is 2X watts on top vs amp hours on batteries. It's still hard to see putting out $100k for this trailer. It's a great product, but that still seems steep.

Have you added up all the differences in the new trailers, the 145,195 and R1, to come to the conclusion that they are "over priced"? They are not competing on price, they are competing on capability, quality, and innovative design. So far, Imperial can't build them fast enough to keep up from what I see. It may be similar to buying a Jaguar or a Tesla, where discriminating buyers can see the value and are willing to pay for it. Great features, new tech, and knowing your audience. These trailers are not for price shoppers. For me, the R1 was worth considerably more than the X22, which was also an expensive trailer.

You are spot on. They are not over priced at all in my opinion. They are no different then Kimberley, Bruder or any other unit with these capabilities. They are hand built, and its not cheap to build a quality product at this level.
