Integrated Fridge Slide plus kitchen/bench: Options?

Folks - instead of just getting a fridge slide, I was looking into getting an integrated slide/drawer/kitchen. I found a beautiful example from Warfield here:

I like how the fridge extends 100%, and the kitchen, 200%.

Are there any other options? It doesn't need to have a cooker, and the sink is just a bonus, but a slide with a large bench or drawer underneath would be very practical - especially if it were relatively low profile.

Thanks
Ash

That Warfield is $3700!!!! I can't even say what I'm thinking but to each his own. Good luck with your search.

If you can provide measurements and describe and/or sketch what you are wanting, I can produce it and ship it either in kit form or fully assembled.

Twenty years in commercial (mainly) custom woodworking and can do pretty much anything.

My only issue is that I have an FJ Cruiser and don't currently have any other models on-site for fitting.

Im doing my drawer system out of steel (frame), aluminum (drawers) and wood (top cover)...
the drawers slides shown above (at least the ones with the fridge and sink..) seem to be 40"-42" for the fridge slide and around 36" for the stove/sink...
I do see it being $1500 --------

Of course, if you build something yourself and assume the value of your time/labor is little or nothing then it brings the cost down considerably.

Looking at that setup alone, the average Joe would go to drawerslides . com and pay $250/pair for 36", $290/pair for 40" and, $320/pair for 42" Lock in/Lock out Accuride slides.

Now let's look at the description from his website: "Full pull out kitchen with hot/cold running water, clean water tank, fridge pull out, shower, locking storage, Dual battery kit, and pre plumbed two burner propane stove. Aluminum frame construction available. Available in many custom configurations."

Yes, there's just a little more to it than a couple slides now isn't there ?

I'm not sure the OP was suggesting buying one from Charles but rather just using it for reference. As I understand it, he is not accepting new orders.

I appreciate the warnings being given. Isn't that why we come here? For relevant information about products and services that help us engage in our hobby/passion. Being shafted out of time and money doesn't help that cause.

Have you looked at Adventure trailers slide? similar to above with the option of a stove in it.

Good idea. I'll give them a call.

This cold be a great idea. I'm going to continue researching for now to see what direction I want to go.

These things are far more expensive than I had anticipated. Even basic drawers are pricey.

Thanks - I saw those over at mud.

You got any tools to build something yourself? If you're only looking for a basic shelf or drawer underneath the fridge unit, I would think you could come up with something for maybe in the range of $80-250, depending on what you use, and what materials (if anything) you have on hand already...

I just got done building this setup. I put a pull-out shelf underneath the fridge slide.

Guessing I got maybe somewhere around $60 into just the fridge slide & shelf portion of it only, though that's with some cheezy 100lb slides (come to realize you want to about double the rating over whatever max weight you think you might actually be putting on them lol). I'll probably put better slides on the fridge tray though for right now it works.

Great idea - I will look into RV stuff a little more. Perhaps I could throw that into a drawer under the fridge.

I 'could' build something, but time really doesn't encourage this, plus I'm not experienced with it. If you have $250 in it, plus you would spend more on the fridge slide, it's honestly not too far away from buying the AT Birch stuff, or ARB drawers. Well, for someone lacking the time/inclination/skill the price isn't too bad.

Thank you for your thoughts - how are you liking the shelf under the fridge?

I like it a lot, comes in real handy. Gives me a place to put my condiments or that plate of stuff that's still waiting while I finish cooking other stuff, etc.
Pull up a chair and it works as a table/desk for repairing some small item or ?. Reduces the need to haul around a separate table (this is important with a smaller vehicle such as mine).

As for the price, I was including the drawer slides in my estimate. If you look on Ebay, I often see people selling slides (both used and new ones) pretty cheap (I think I paid $70 shipped IIRC for the 500lb Accurides for my main drawer). I think I got maybe $150-200 into that whole entire storage drawer unit which extends all the way forward to the back of the front seats (some materials I already had on hand... Had I had to buy everything, maybe add another $100-150 I'm guessing).
