"Interview"

Carolyn

no retreat, no surrender
Some of you photogs may or may not be interested in this "interview". In quotes, because it's not really an interview.... it's basically a talk I gave at OMA when I had an exhibit there, coinciding with an exhibit by Imogen Cunningham... they invited me 'cause I'm a black and whiter... Anyway, I re-wrote, added a bit, took away a bit for a different audience - than the attendees of the Museum. It's about my thoughts behind what goes on -

Hope some of you enjoy this... :ylsmoke:

Carolyn, Although I am not personally experienced in black and white photography, I have always admired your awesome talent and the beautiful images you capture time and time again. Thanks for sharing your "interview" with us. It was nice to read what motivates you and your approach to your art. May your future travels continue to provide you with the opportunities to "capture the essence of The Spirit of Nature”

Well done. :wings:

Carolyn,
Somewhat echoing Brad's comments: enjoyed the interview.
Particularly your quite about B&W : "To see in colour is delightful to the eye, but to see in black and white delights the soul"

Ansel Adams is one of the masters who inspired me....

Hey... thanks Brad and Colin!
Brad, I enjoyed looking through your slit canyon photos - particularly the lower canyon. I've only been in the upper. 3 times.
Colin... try googling Minor White and Wynn Bullock just for grins... some really great stuff. So many great photogs came before... Imogen Cunningham, her Tuberose in her Botanical Series is just beautiful... OK.... obviously I'm a big proponent of black and white.

Thank you both again. I appreciate your interest.
