"Into the Wild" -- On Bikes (and Rafts)

I saw that as well, Andre. Having lived in Alaska and done many a bike tour as the manager of a mt bike touring company.....that looked ugly. Alaska is rugged country. We did a ride to a local waterfall once. Towards the end of the ride, we were not only off the bikes, but on our hands and knees crawling through moss, ferns, thickets of brush...sloooooooow going.

Kudos to those riders.

This bike touring stuff looks pretty fun, huh?

It did look a little ugly... Two days of food?? Otherwise, cool though an a hell of a trip. The destination of course is sort of cool...

pretty crazy! Can't believe they didn't bring more food. If they had any injury or serious problems they would have been in real trouble. The pictures were really cool showing the river that Christoper Mc Candless could not get back across. What if they could not get across?
Impressive...
