Is this 8274 worth $300

I know this is my first post. I have lurked here for a while even before I signed up.

Anyway ... Do y'all think that this winch is worth $300?

The guy says it works and that he can hook it up to a battery and show me.

I am mainly wondering what people who have rebuilt these can see in the pictures that definitely need to be replaced or is missing.

I think the serial number is 720040168 if that helps.

Actually that's not an 8274. It's a Belleview winch. It was the predecessor to the M8274. Some people restore them, but parts are not as easy to come by as they are on an M8274. It looks like it's in rough shape from the pics.

I would pay $100 just to have something to tinker around with. If you wanted a winch to restore for use I'd keep looking.
