Is your Land Cruiser your daily driver?

My stock LX (sans running boards) is my daily vehicle although, being retired, I don't have to drive it all that much. Finally turned over 100k a few weeks ago (average 7-8k miles annually).

My 80 is DD, grocery getter, parts hauler, snowboard trip shuttle, chariot from Boulder, CO to Atlanta, GA a few times a year and primary tow rig since I sold my diesel shortly after picking up my most recent 80. Racked up 26xxx miles on the clock in only nine months of ownership. A month and a half of which the truck was off the road.

6bt swap is becoming more justifiable with every tow.

Here's my DD. 214K miles. Purchased it 10/2015 with 207K. Recently took a 5hr drive down to Uwharrie National Forest. Started to rain shortly after I arrived and like the websites mentioned about the routes, they do become significantly more difficult when wet. Two door lifted jeeps with 35" M/Ts were sliding down the small hill climbs. Found out how quickly highway tires become slicks in the mud. I just have a hard time justifying buying new tires for it since it came with brand new light truck tires. Luckily it has the factory lockers or else I probably wouldn't have gotten off the route.

Nope. '94 cruiser with 242,000 is a weekend driver, expedition camper. 2013 Prius is my DD. 45mpg vs 10mpg is the basic reason.

I DD drove an FJ40 and later an FJ60. We didn't drive our current rig, the UZJ100 daily until recently. But, our commute is less than half a mile (we take it in case we have to do a run for supplies--we own a tea house/bakery).

it did occur to be at some point putting DD miles on your wheeler, kinda wastes the money you blow on offroad parts, but... meh.

Yea but I am not worried about it. I don't search out obstacles to see how hard they are to get over. I like the drive and the destination.

I have an 11 mile commute and drive it every day. Most days I can off road at least 8 of those miles, through mountain forest logging trails.

I always keep 2 sets of tires for my rigs. One for pavement travel and the other for off road adventures.
