more of the same you have seen here before only this is mine..lol took me a year to build and now she is almost done where I'm just about out of mods and money...
This forum has been great for ideas- thanks for all who posted their built process and shared the knowledge.
for certain, it save a lot time!
I have a special "thank you" for my best friend and partner
Tom, whom I sent to welding classes just for this cause..lol
I did alot of the grunt work..cutting, grinding rounding all the material and designing this trailer just how I wanted her!
I was on a quest to find a trailer like that for about 2 years until I found her in a wrecking/storage lot-she was in a sad shape when I got her- tires were cracked and barely made it to my garage, the p.o. slapped some white paint on her, bullet holes everywhere on the tub, side railes bowed severly and just about every panel had wrinkels and dents. to top it of, I paid more then she was worth at that shape but I was in love, ya know!!
someone had cut the rear panel and installed a heavy duty boiler plate for a gate supported by angle iron and chains that were noisy as they dangeled and wore the paint.
I will post the transformation a bit at a time with some "splanation"
first picture is the trailer being used for the first time after a new military tires were installed, spare tire carrier was installed on the tail gate and new wheel bearings and seals were replaced.
I own an automotive shop in Glendale Az so all the equipment was readily available.
makes life a lot easier!
