Got the fuel pump and o2 sensor connector and built the exhaust today. Swiped the front o2 sensor from my brothers Forester and fired this bad boy up!!! Got a weird idle issue but she fires!

Awesome work. Simply great quality. Like retaining the stock hood latch and making the whole core support bolt-on.
I've followed your work over on DI for a while and its great to see you here too.

Really interesting project to follow. It's always cool to see people going against the grain. Good documentation too. Looking foreword to more updates!

Thanks for the compliments! Its coming along albeit slow. Ive been having problems with photobucket which makes me lose motivation to post up. Its a bit easier to tell the tale with photos.

However I figured out my idle situation....wrong ecu. Simple fix. Stainless brakelines are finished and bled. Next is to wire headlights, and a new skid plate. This will get me more/less up and running.

The new ecu showed up today. She runs just like she should! Still need to wire headlights but I did take a half mile drive in the wash at my house. Now I know the ecu is correct I need to remount it back under the dash which is a pain but it will be tucked up nice and high. Still quite a few tid bits to get back to "normal" status but to be road worthy just headlights and new tie rods....oh yeah and one cv boot.

It's nice to see a subaru build from an actual fabricator. no carraige bolts, C channel bumpers, or pvc pipe snorkels here lol. GREAT job!
are you mostly into caging rally cars for work or?

Not surprised to find you here, but still a small world. Came across this site while looking for an Ambulance! I can't see the pictures. Still having photobucket issues I guess. Seems like you have done quite a bit since I dropped my car off over a year ago. Holy Crap! I can't believe it's been that long. (Just for note for potential customers; its my fault the car has been there so long, not his. He does awesome work and is taking care of my car while I'm deployed.)

Anyways, keep up the good work buddy.

Not bad. Ready to come home. This crap is getting old.

Yeah, I am thinking about trying to find an ambulance. I looked at trucks, but I think I can get more use out of an Ambulance (Service, Road trips, "Expidition" vehicle.) Also, a storage unit if I end up living on the East Coast for a while when I get back.

So, if you see any good ones for sale in your area, let me know.

The GL has been getting a little love lately. Now with the correct ecu i can move forward on other aspects of my little adventure mobile. One of the first things on the list was to rid the car of rattles and get rid of the tin can noise coming from uninsulated thin steel panels.
