Not to be nosey but I'm thinking of taking on building my own trailer for a RTT and am wondering what you have invested into yours so far. Trailer only. Not the RTT, solar etc. Just wondering materials wise what I'm looking at. Thanks... Killer build.... I'm a new welder so it's gonna be a good experience..

Laocfdfireman - just shot you a PM answering the above question along with the others you sent. Hope that helps. Good luck with the build... a ton of awesome information on the site. Let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks,

This build is on point! Love this trailer. I am just getting cranked up on mine. Finishing drawings and starting to order stuff. I was just wondering what ARB fridge you have. It looks like the 50qt? Also with your water bypass, do you have isolated systems/do you worry about any contamination backwards into your main supply/in your pump with stream water? I love the idea of doing heated stream water for showers and keeping the onboard supply for drinking/dishes and such.

Excited to keep seeing the trailer in action!

Thanks Tanks - Yes, fridge is the 50qt. It's awesome. With regard to the water, no I don't really worry about it. I have a valve shut off so nothing can get into the fresh tank. So far so good!

Here are a few from this weekend. Family is growing so we are moving to a 200 series Land Cruiser platform. Picked up this 2009 not too long ago. It's in serious need of a lift and tires, but don't worry parts are in the mail.

P.S. Anybody know if it's hard to change out the axle hubs to accomodate the Land Cruisers bolt pattern? I eventually will want to match the trailer tires just like I did with the Tacoma.

Thanks,

Very cool story, though I do have one question why did you air the trailer tires down wouldn't that end up making it hard to go throught the sand due to the increased rolling resistance? Just wondering the reason behind that.

I use to "camp" on pismo about 12 years ago. At that time I had a lifted F250 with the 7.3 and heavy *** eclipse attitude toy hauler camper trailer. Never got stuck and we would go off behind the first set of dunes to camp and get away from the crowds. Just air down pick pick your lines well in advance and don't let off the skinny peddle! I miss going out there and bet the Tacoma would be a blast out on the dunes! How much sand came
Through your screens?

Got the LC & trailer out for the first trip post LC suspension, rims and tire upgrade. Love the Tacoma but the LC sure does fit the bill.

Getting ready for a trip to Idaho...

Wired up some tents lights. They are not as white as they seem in this pic. Switch inside with the power cord running out to the aux plug inside the trailer box.

Got a Lavo Dry flush toilet, mounted some D rings and strapped it down so it doesn't move around during transit

Trip to Idaho was awesome! Over 1,500 miles round trip including 80+ off highway through the Sawtooth national forest. Truck, trailer, kids and wife were awesome! Here are a few pics. I'll post more as I get them loaded up...
