James Baroud RTT's In Action!

I have my JB Evasion Evo mounted on FR bars. I just bought some stainless bar stock from mcmaster carr and some SS carriage bolts and made my own, similar to the factory ones but bolt spacing to fit over the FR bars. Save yourself a lot of hassle and find a metal shop with a shear/punch, and have them tack weld the bolts.

I have a similar issue now. I'm switching trucks and roof racks and the current truck has a front runner rack. I need to figure out a mounting strategy. Do you have any pics you can share on what you did?

What rack are you going to mount the James Baroud on? Feel free to reach out, chances are we have installed on your rack before and we are happy to assist.

This is still work in progress but you get the idea I'm sure.
I'm only going through all this trouble because my roof bars are ridiculously low.

My wife wanted to take our 12 year old on a 3 week camping trip from Vancouver, BC to visit family in South Dakota. I needed the Disco for an own off-road excursion in British Columbia with some of my mates during the same few weeks. So, we ended up transferring the Baroud to her Benz. She sure got alot of curious inquiries from her campsite neighbours about the huge plastic thing on her roof.

And was very impressed with my wife when she lifted her half of it over her head to get it up and down from the rack... needed a better solution so now it hangs here and can be raised/lowered and installed by just one of us!

Now if only I didn't have to go to work I would have more pictures of it in a much nicer back country locale. Can't wait!
