Yeah insurance co wont do that.... And its not in my budget right now. Its a $200 plastic piece, but they don't make the unpainted grey ones anymore. One day..... I do have a tire carrier I built, but haven't used it yet....

I have had a metal clamp on dog barrier thing for awhile now, works fine other than rattling. Until I removed one of the back seats.... Now I find a dog in my front seats every time I get back to my truck.

So I got to work on this project I have wanted for awhile now. Dog barrier.

Measured the back of the truck, and laid it all out of my kitchen table.

In process. It was a pain in the butt doing a whole bunch of 3/4" stitch passes.

All stitched up. Waiting on some buckles from amazon now..

Sweet! I have a Raingler net from my WJ that I have been using in the Lexus and it doesn't fit perfect. I have thought about making my own pattern and stitching one like this for a while now. You have inspired me to get to work on it.

Just about done now. need to trim the ends of the straps still. I think it should work well, or my GSD will look like a fish in a net.

Thanks! The roof basket is on custom angle iron mounts. The awning is mounted to those also.

First night out of the year. Was great, but crazy windy.

Longer sway bar end links have been needed for awhile. I hit a retread off a semi last weekend and found that one side has come loose, nut gone and threads toast. Sound like I need to do it sooner rather than later now.

Cut new threads into the old link, they are a little shallow, but hopefully will work.
Cut it in half, its 3/8" solid rod.

Cut a piece of tube to sleeve it, total length ~1.25" longer than stock.

Drill holes, plug weld.

Welded the ends too, forgot to take pics...
finished with some paint.

Found the first snow of the year!

Here are some from the last few months.

Naches pass wagon trail.

Snow puls log plus off camber.... Got my first real scar on the truck. Sliders don't work when leaned over that far.

opps...

After running the first half of the trail, stopped and played in the snow.

Up by chumstick mountain, played rally driver getting up here, were getting both dust storm and flash flood emergency warning on my phone. Found a spot off the ridge line and out of a valley....

Drug home another Toyota Project...

Drug the Boat all over the state.
