Thanks....

I am going to have the bed blasted clean & primed, then body solder all the bolt holes in the tub where "stuff" had been mounted in the past.

I am still trying to decide on the finish for the bed. I want to match my Jeep, silver body and black fenders, just debating paint or powdercoat.

FWIW, my plan for the trailer is to use the same automotive paint as my Jeep.

I've been generally non-plussed with the "toughness" of powder coating.

Yeah, I am leaning towards paint, however; I can't paint where I am staying unless I roll or brush.

Do all of the prep yourself and then have one of the low ball chain auto painters squirt it. The money is in the prep (time) and they squirt a lot of cars.

Well, she is at the the sandblaster for a couple of days to be blasted and primed.....

Got to talking to the owner of the business (small shop with 3 guys, himself included), and being it is a sandblasting / finishing business, asked him about painting the trailer. Turns out, he was in the Military and painted planes for a living! :Wow1:

After getting her back, I am going to body solder all the little mounting holes and take it back to him for paint (to match the Jeep), then spray the bed with Upol Raptor lining.

Interesting kit. Let us know how it turns out. I have been looking for a cheap spray in. That is neat it comes with the gun.

I've been doing allot of reading about it on the JeepForum.com website.

Seems like the people that have used it, really like the results......

I'll keep posting the results and photos as I go.

I sprayed the Raptor bed liner on the floor of my truck bed. Very easy to do and it turned out great. Still haven't gotten the truck back together so no idea on the durability but so far very happy. Here's a pic.

Thanks...... That looks sharp. Any suggestions on spray technique?

It went on very easy. I used about 1.5 bottles to do the floor. Wasted the other half, since you have to mix the hardner. Don't go too heavy but a couple medium coats gave a good coverage and texture without being too thick. If you tape anything up, try to remove as soon as you are done spraying, while it's still wet. If you wait until dry, you may have a hard time getting the tape off.

Make sure your surface is very clean. I used wax/grease remover (PPG Automotive paint stuff) to clean the surface. Use gloves as well.

Good luck.
