Selling my labor of love.
Ive owned the jeep for quite a long time, and hand built it from nearly stock.
Located in SW washington state.
Ill cover the basics.
1992 xj 4 door, powered by a 1990 4BD1T isuzu 3.9 liter turbo diesel. This engine is from a medium duty Isuzu NPR.
factory tune is 120hp, 220TQ. Mine is closer to 200hp, 400tq, with more or less available as desired.
Best tank I got was 26mpg, has 20 gallon tank, 10 gallon bonus. still in tuning process, averaging 15mpg 4wd/hwy as is, but Id say once its tuned it will see 22-25 consistently. truck weighs 6500lbs.
install is clean and professional, fame is reinforced front to rear with 3/16" steel.
transmission is a 4 speed GM auto with overdrive, custom built by novak to hold the power of a hot diesel. transfer case is a NP231 jeep, chev chain upgrade, teralow 4to1, SYE, all new guts.
tires are 37x14.50/15 toyo MT on steel wheels, 5 on 5.5 bolt. 4 tires @70%, spare is new. 4.56 axle ratio, cruises at 1870rpms @ 60 mph.
front axle is custom HP dana 44, 1/2" DOM tubes, Eaton selectable electric locker, chromealloy shafts, trussed, gussets, .250" DOM highsteer, locking hubs.
rear custom ford 8.8, trussed, disk brakes, chromealloy shafts, Detroit locker, yukon full floater conversion.
interior was heavily modified to accommodate two people and a 50# dog for extended expedition trips. human and dog sleeping areas are separate. Has custom 4" memory foam mattress with water proof 750denier cover. has gear storage, 9 gallon freshwater tank/ hand pump faucet, 37qt ARB fridge/freezer, pullout kitchen w/ dry food storage, utility/tool/strap storage, separate cubbys for camper specific supplies, dog food/dog gear, spare automotive parts, spare auto fluids. slides are 500# vehicle rated capacity.
interior lights replaced with low draw soft LEDs. truck can sit dormant for 4-5 days running the fridge and interior lights, and still start, thanks the dual deep cycle optima batteries. also wired for 24 volt, designed to plug in a 24volt welder quickly.
Camper interior could be removed in about 30 minutes, and seats reinstalled if needed.
onboard air, 40 amp 5 cfm compressor.
tube armor, fender flares, and sliders, fame stiffeners.
rear swingout tire carrier holds 37" spare, (2) 20L nato cans, chainsaw. can still see out rear view mirror.
front winch bumper has warn 9.5Ti thermoelectric winch.
coil longarm suspension front and rear, remote resi bilstein shocks. rides very well.
custom safari rack with ARB awning, shovel mount. rack is designed for large RT tent. side folds down and/or removes for tent deployment, built in tent mount tabs. weight capacity exceeds your cajones for loading your roof.
I will include my custom 1953 M100 trailer for an additional $1000. custom hitch/jack extendable tongue, Lock N' roll hitch, LED lights, 33" tires, tube rack.
under construction:
Photos below are slightly outdated, they were taken when the jeep had 35" tires, and different axles/steering.
