The color is Rock Red Crystal and I've seen quite a few over here, maybe not availability across the " pond"

Thanks Bob, maybe so, I don't remember seeing one.

Reading through this thread again, I realised I never contributed, so here are some newer pics of mine:

We took our Jeep to Iceland again in August 2014:

1. Beach in north Denmark, night before catching the ship to Iceland the next morning:

2. Campsite in Iceland, first day:

3. Jeep parked up at Hoffellsfjöll, added rocksliders for the trip:

Sandy neck is only accessible with a beach sticker from the town, I think it's $150 for the year for non residents. You are not allowed to drive on the dunes, just the beach. The beach is beautiful and is about 5 miles long. You are required to drop your tire pressure to 18. Lb and they have free use of air to fill up when you leave.

Very nice jeepgc , I remember following your build and the excellent workmanship on your rear storage and tire carrier.
P.S. I was totally amazed at that deep river crossing video !

Thanks Bob, the storage and tire carrier are all still good and proving their use.

I was amazed that the Jeep got through that OK, we just blindly followed the guide through because he said it was OK.

We're not so trusting (naive) now :) I got myself some waders and trekking poles for checking ALL river levels before I crossed them for our 2014 trip.

I like those wheels jeepgc.

Thanks Bikemobile, I'd love to be able to join you and WK on your next trip out somewhere. It'd be great to ship our Jeep for a tour of North America over the next few years, but it's only a pipedream at the moment :)

I think I saw 50 for non residents but that doesn't matter. Can you just pull over and set up for the day at the beach when you find a good spot or is there designated spots for that?
Thanks.
This year I'm hoping to get to race point also. I have OBA and I guess they also want you to have a board 4 ft long so I want to pick up maxtrax also.

Yes, mostly you can stop with vehicle back to the surf. There are areas that are for self contained campers only , and at certain times of the year sections are closed due to Plovers nesting.

just a question, how many miles do yall have on your WK's? also any major work needed to be done other than regular maintenance?

Mine is just shy of 100k in 4 years and no issues. The original brakes lasted 90k and the stock tires 70k. Needs shocks and struts. Mine is a 3.7 with the quadra trac 1 single speed transfer case.

I have 183K on my 07' with no major repairs. Keep up with the maintainance and all should be good. Look into the other Jeep Forums about the" N23 recall "that caused 4Low to malfunction and the best repair methods.

We have a little over 95k on our '06, bought just over 2 years ago with 49k on the clock.

No major repairs, used as our family daily drive and expo vehicle.

Similar to bikemobile, I need to clear out the tubes that drain from the sunroof as we get a leak when there's heavy rain.

But other than that, we've done some scary drives in wild conditions and our Jeep has been rock solid.
