Thanks for the update! It looks awesome! Wish I had the talent and resources...this is entering "dream vehicle" land for me.

Great job!

Looks great. What are you plans for the air box?

As in the air cleaner assembly? I haven't really found anything yet that would fit the bill. I figured I'd put a snorkle on it and use a cylindrical type of housing for the filter element. Either side is going to be a pain because of the pedal assemblies and booster on the right side or the HVAC box ect. on the left. The valve cover to underside of the hood clearance is pretty good so I could run it above it if need it. I just don't have the room on either side of the motor.

What about modifying a stock JK aircleaner box to fit in front of the HVAC box?
It would support the horse power, and it's pretty small. It also seals well, and would support a snorkel.
I'm thinking with all the guys running CAI, you could probably find one for cheap.

I’m terrible at doing updates, but I’m still at it when I have free time. Most of it is now painted and all the galvanizing has been redone. Still waiting on some more misc stuff. I ended up going with fiero buckets in the front and I’m having Mr. Mikes stitch up some new upholstery with the old Land Rover logo. The back seat I had to make with a combo of stock parts and misc junk yard parts. It even folds and tumbles like it’s supposed to. The headliner should be here in a few weeks from Badger Coach Works.

The project is coming along nicely and the color looks awesome! Is it a Rover color? Also, how difficult would it have been to convert to LHD during the rebuild process?

Cheers

I love this thing, not quite the direction I'd have gone but aesthetically you're killing it- I'd get a vinyl version of your beach permit for the window

It actually would of been pretty easy to convert it to LHD, but with the 4.0 it was just cleaner to leave it the way it was. It would of been pretty tight with the intake manifold.

The color is just a mint green that I liked, it’s close to a Rover color. I just wanted something kinda vintage looking.

Thanks, I've actually been trying to find a place to make me one, most places will only do it if I buy a large quantity.
