Well the paint is FINALLY done. I ended up doing about 4.5 coats on it and got the tape off of it. I hope I never have to do this again but if I did I think I would be tempted to try to spray it. Getting all of the nooks and crannies is quite bothersome to me. The paint is far from perfect and not as nice as alot of others on here and certainly not as nice as a Sierra or Manley trailer but I take quite a bit of pride in the fact that this thing was all built by me. One thing i do like about the monstaliner is that it even makes my welds look good.
So for now I have a few small items on my "to do" list.
1. Remount the rotopax carriers/water tanks
2. I'm going to try to mount a high lift jack carrier on the outside passenger side of the trailer.
3. I think I'm going to buy a hitch carrier bike rack and modify it to work on the back of the trailer
4. Over time I am going to try to look into a solar charger for onboard battery
5. I still have to buy/run the wire from the Jeep to the trailer for it to charge while going down the road.
6. When I removed the tape today some of the black paint on the top came off. Sometime later I will probably need to sand and repaint it. I was worried the galvanized metal would have issues holding paint and prepped it like I had read about online but that's not a big deal(or a priority)
Next weekend we are suppose to have another outing so hopefully I'll be able to carry both the Jeep/trailer. We were suppose to be somewhere this weekend but rain is expected for the next three days.
