Jesus, do I ever need to get a lift / decent tires on my xterra and travel out of Texas. One of these day's I'll make it up to the PNW. So beautiful up there!

Whoever took them, freaking awesome photos. Beautiful scenery. Like swipe them for PC wallpapers good.

Glad to see you are wheeling with RTT's. I was looking at mine up there and thinking "oh my god is this gonna work........"

The pictures you're likely speaking of were taken by Steve (Trixter404). He was using an actual camera that no doubt produced higher quality photos.

Welcome to the RTT society! I've never had any issues wheeling with mine. You'll be fine.

Wow may have to get down to Tillamook Forest! That place looks epic man! Nice photos!

Definitely, man. I had read a lot about it and I've wanted to go since moving up here.

Would be a destination for me as well. I'm definitely going to be showing these to the wife... "See Honey. We could be going here, and places like this. Are you sure you don't want me to get a 4x4?" :D

Did you have to use 4LO? Since I'm still shopping for a rig and I'd like a 4LO, but something more "car-like" may be an easier sell.

I wouldn't have taken anything without a low range on most of the trails we did. However, it likely would have been doable in something with a decent traction-control AWD system akin to a Subaru. A true low-range is just the better option on steep inclines with low traction.

Great pictures. The wife and I have ridden the Olympic Peninsula and all over the Oregon coast on our motorbikes and it really is an epic part of the world.

Indeed!

I'm so jealous! That looks like so much fun. I need more PNW in my life.

A truer statement has never been spoken.

Looks fantastic Josh, I am dying to get out and camp. Looks like beautiful scenery, fun company, and a great time man.

Thanks! I'm still debating the snorkel, as I love how it looks on your truck.

It was a great time, although it would have been nice if the rain had let up while we enjoyed beer and brats around the campfire. And I definitely did not expect to see snow with the mostly mild winter that we've had and spring just around the corner. I'm looking forward to spending some more time down there during better weather.

I'm definitely anxious to get back down there. The snow was a pleasant surprise.

Don't let not having a lift keep you from getting out there and wheeling/exploring trails. Some quality stock sized tires will get you more places than you'd guess on a stock Xterra. However, you certainly need to get up to the PNW!

Thanks, man. I definitely like that this bumper shows a little more of that expensive piece of red iron. I'm actually debating adjusting my shackles so the rear sits 1/2 inch higher as I've lost a wee bit of height putting all of that new steel so far behind the axle. We'll see.

Awesome X. Is your spare still in the stock location?

Thanks! And yes, it is. It's a used 285/75/16 that's quite worn and it's a tight fit. It would be difficult to squeeze a new 33 inch Duratrac in there, but I could probably do it.

Ah ok. For some reason I assumed that people move it out of stock location for wheeling reasons (that is, avoid hitting it on obstacles) but I guess it's because anything over 32" is tight fit.

Good looking build. I used to live in Bremerton/Silverdale and ran a lot of those trails around Hurricane Ridge, Olympic Mountains. Also Tahuya added many pinstripes to my Xterra too.

Josh,
Finally found your thread man. The X looks great. Defiantly looks a lot different since the last time I saw it, meeting you in PA in the fall of 2014. It's time for me to get to work on the f150 now. Keep the pictures and stories coming since I want to someday get out there to see you man. Allison and Amelia say hello!

Good to see you finally made a build thread for the truck over on the domestic forum. As I mentioned over there, bring your beast out West so you can experience real trails!

Also, don't forget to call Mom and Dad for Easter :)
