Jumpstarting From The House AGMs

If I ever woke up to a dead vehicle battery, i would like to be able to jump start them off of my house AGM batteries.

Does any one know if this an issue or if i can damage my AGM's. Right now i have 2 6v batteries tethered together.

They need to be in series, as mentioned, and be sure to hook up the "outside" terminals. But if you are wiring in any sort of permanent connection, it gets a little trickier and you'll need, at a minimum, a suitable battery isolator. Ignore that and the batteries will all try to equalize themselves, perhaps leaving you with three dead batteries.

If you are trying to wire up something more formal, there's tons of information available on the internet. One place to go is here:

You might want to check out this battery separator that Four Wheel Camper uses. If your vehicle battery runs low, the separator will automatically give some power from the house battery to the vehicle battery. No manual jumping should ever be required with this setup.
